Here’s the latest update we received.

“…The 2 goldens are inseparable. They enjoy each other's company very much.  Fito loves being out in the yard…Fito and I completed basic obedience.  He knows all his commands but still is over enthusiastic when meeting new people (or dogs).  Just when I think he's getting the hang of it - he jumps up on someone.  I am hopeful though.

We had issues with possessiveness but he's improving there as well.  Now he mostly gives up his dead or stinky prizes with encouragement…  He easily hands over balls and toys which he didn't at first.  He is still possessive over bones but I'll let him have that for now.  I'm just careful about when he has them.

He loves hiking but is still afraid of water.  He did walk across a small stream with persuasion but he has no problem with log bridges.  He's a great dog.  It's been a great match.  He's a sweetie. Everyone who meets him is impressed.  The vet was very impressed.  Thanks again.  This has been an excellent experience.”
